CROOKED CREEK PASO FINOS was formed in 1993 from a humble beginning of one brood mare [Danza, now deceased and will always be special].  It quickly grew to 3 brood mares then to 5,  etc. 

In 1997 we looked around and counted 15 Paso Finos in our pasture. That's when we made the decision  to scale down and go for quality, not quantity. We had learned so much in the 4 years about bloodlines and the type Paso Finos we wanted to raise that we "switched gears" and headed in our current direction.

It's taken 4 years to reposition ourselves with the brood mares of the bloodlines we desired. We  feel our small herd of Paso Fino brood mares and our stallion Es Traficante [a fino, Plebeyo son]  gives us some of the best bloodlines around.

Our  mares consist of:  2-Capuchino daughters [Mercedes del Azur who's dam is Iglesia LaCE and CC Capuchina who's Dam is a Plebeyo daughter], and 1-Plebeyo daughter  [CC Pandereta a daughter of Mercedes del Azur].

We will have our first "Home grown" foals in 2002. We look forward to seeing this foal crop and seeing how well our breeding program is progressing. They are here and "WOW" they're even better than we had hoped for !!

Our goal is to raise and sell the best possible, naturally gaited, Paso Finos at a reasonable price [much under the $10,000 price which seems to be the starting price for weanlings with these bloodlines]. Check our for sale page for pictures and prices.

We don't do much showing, as we had rather spend our time Breeding and raising top notch, naturally gaited, family oriented, Paso Finos with top bloodlines that are also Show Quality, rather than spending the time it takes to stay on the Show Circuit.  Oh ! the joy  to watch the babies grow and play.

We take pride in the fact that our horses are even-tempered, naturally gaited, easy to handle [on the ground and in the saddle], family horses that the WHOLE  FAMILY can ride and enjoy, including the children, with conformations, looks and gait that can also take you into the show ring and never disappoint you. Our Paso Finos are well trained and of good size [14 + hands], yet maintain the proper conformation and gait.
